ISSUE #2 · JULY 9, 2026

Hello people of the North Country! The forth of July is over but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do this weekend. All over the north country there are some great things to do if you’re looking to get out of the house!

In today’s issue:

  • Franconia's Old Home Day is Saturday

  • Where to be this week: 6 events

  • Live music, Friday through Sunday

The Big One

Franconia’s Old Home Day

If you only get out of the house one time this week, it should be for Franconia's Old Home Day. It will be at Dow Field in downtown Franconia on July 11th from 9am to 9pm.

It kicks off with the Community Church blueberry pancake breakfast (8:30am - 11am), then the rubber duck race and artisan market running from 8am - 3pm. The Franconia Heritage Museum also holds its open house with ice cream and an America's 250th exhibit from 1pm - 4pm. The night ends with a literal bang, with music from the Wicked Smart Horn Band from 6pm - 8:30pm, then fireworks over the field at 8:30pm.

It's a full day, and about the closest thing Franconia gets to a town holiday.
